Using the Online Catalog

If you don't have a password yet, stop by the circulation desk the next time you're in the library. We'll happily set one up for you.

If you don't have a library card, stop by your local library to sign up.

Get Logged In!

Username: Your library card number can be found on the back of your library card. It is fourteen digits long and should always be entered without spaces.

Password:  Your password is your last name, first letter capitalized, or self-created password.

Start Searching

The search bar in our online catalog defaults to a basic keyword search. Select your preferred search type such as subject, author, or title and click Go.

Looking for something specific or want to explore? Use the Advanced Search Page, where you can narrow results by type of item, the year items were published, and more!

Don’t let a physical limitation stop you from reading! Audio books and magazines can be loaned free to any Idaho resident who is unable to read standard print, hold a book, or turn pages due to a temporary or permanent physical limitation.

The Talking Book Service has more than 85,000 audio books and 70 magazine titles from which to choose!

​This free service provides the following to registered users:

  • Books, magazines, and playback equipment

  • Materials mailed directly to and from the user via Free Matter for the Blind

  • Toll free number to contact the Talking Book Service (800-458-3271)

  • Resources to help select titles of interest

  • Online catalog for direct ordering

  • Ability to download digital titles​

Kindergarten Readiness Kits

 

Thanks to a generous grant from the Idaho Commission for Libraries we are able to provide kindergarten readiness kits. These kits provide books, an activity, and a specific focus skill, all with a theme!

Stop by your local PRLD branch to see the kindergarten kits available to you.  Kits include:

  • Coding

  • Coloring

  • Conditionals (if/then)

  • Copying/tracing

  • Fine motor skills

  • Following directions

  • Cutting & Gluing

  • Letter recognition/letter formation

  • Monitoring emotions

  • Pencil skills

  • Phonetics

  • Safety

  • Scissors/cutting

  • Self-regulation

  • Senses

  • Sharing/taking turns

  • Spelling/writing your name
